50 Years Later, Heinz Approves Don Draper’s ‘Pass the Heinz’ Ads


Just last week Heinz launched a new campaign based on concepts pitched on the TV show Mad Men—the announcement even named the fictional agency and characters as part of the creative team.

Double whammy

By picking this campaign—one pitched on a TV show—Heinz garnered extra media attention for making such an off-the-wall decision, and effectively doubled the impact of the creative.

The buzz is about the ad—as well as the ad itself. It’s more than two-for-one.

“Pass the Heinz.”
